It was going to be a long shift for Xihao. A pleasure boat had overturned in the harbour and he'd been drafted into the emergency department as they'd been short staffed. He really did not want to work with wet, drunk hurt people but he was only a resident so couldn't really say no when the director had come up to the break room on the fourth floor and rounded them up to help in the ER. It wasn't like they had been doing much anyway, they had a few hours that they were supposed to be "studying" as their supervisor had to rush off to be with his wife as she had gone into labour. Xihao, as the oldest of the specialist residences was supposed to be in charge but that had only lasted about twenty minutes before the six of them burst into an improv game of keepy-uppy with scrunched wad of paper. Zitao his housemate had promptly fallen asleep on one of the uncomfortable sofa instead of participating but he too had been roped into helping.
Xihao hadn't worked in the ER since his first year and he had forgotten how busy and crowded the department was. He had gotten used to everything being sterile and quiet, and smelling only of disinfectant so coming back to the noisy place where a thousand smells assaulted his nose all at once was very disorientating. He only been down on the emergency floor for about four hours but he was so over it. He'd found a blessedly empty bed in the kids section of the open plan ward and was hiding so he could get a five minute breather away from...everything. IT was only a matter if time before someone found him but until then Xihao could pretend he was back in the piece and quiet of the neuro ward.

Post by Yorick Brown on Apr 22, 2018 23:31:04 GMT
Yorick Brown, American, had arrived in Mywynn on the promise that his friend Cha Li's parents would pay for his college tuition while he kept an eye on Cha Li as they believed he was a good influence on their ex-gang, ex-junkie son. Yorick was studying Business Managment in Harvard, an Ivy League school, on a scholarship when he met Cha Li in some of their shared classes. Struggling to meet deadlines, sleep and manage a social life, Yorick knew that he was on the opposite end of the spectrum of wealth compared to the seemingly non-caring Cha Li Choi.
To the oblivious derpy Brown, their friendship just sort of started out of nowhere. One comment was made and that was it, they became friends. Although the others around Yorick had tried to tell him that Cha was actually bullying him, Rick just thought they were jealous. As apparently the Choi family were very influential among the rich families that attended Harvard. As time went on Yorick noticed Cha's disappearance from college and when he decided to check up on him, Mr. & Ms.Choi had basically banished him to their holiday home on Mywynn for his own protection and recovery as it wasn't public knowledge that the perfect Choi legacy had a mischievous heir.
Thus the Choi's sent Yorick to find him in the holiday home that was bigger then Yoricks house and his neighbours' house combined. They had transferred Yorick to the college on Mywynn and Yorick arrived there with all his possessions on the families private jet.
A few months on from listening to Ms.Choi blackmailing him by saying that if he didn't keep Cha Li on the straight and narrow, that she would revoke his college fund, Cha Li had gone missing...again. When he heard the news of the overturned pleasure boat, Yorick took that as a sign, as destruction followed Cha like the plague. Trudging into the Emergency Room in the Hospital, Yorick passed the reception and started looking in among the opened curtains that divided the different areas for private patient consultations. "Cha Li! Where are you? Come out, come out wherever you are."
Yorick did not expect so many people to be in here or for there to be so many people covered in dried crusting blood... Blood, Rick could not stand the sight of it. It made him feel physically ill. He couldn't see a sign for a bathroom anywhere. He was feeling woozy as the vomit boiled in his stomach. His next option was a bin. Scrambling he looked in among the curtains for one. He couldn't hold it in anymore. It climbed up his throat and out of his mouth all over someone who was wearing a white coat while laying on a short gurney. Yorick clung to the edge of the bed as she wobbled to the floor and passed out from his woozy state.
